The various "rescues" are obviously staged for the cameras, which in effect makes a mockery of the entire show. Most of the lifeguards are simple-minded, and talk mainly in "ocker" cliches. Maybe an IQ in single digits is a prerequisite for the actors in the series?
All in all an embarrassing but false picture of the real Australia, but yet another example of the moronic yuppies that live in or around Bondi. Give it a miss!
